Upcoming Retreats
Art + Asana in Sorrento
October 12-19, 2019
High on the coast on a cliff overlooking the sea in Sorrento, we stay at Villa Crawford, a religious guesthouse. This converted convent, reopened in 2013, offers their beautiful gardens and roof deck to practice yoga, to meditate, to make artwork, and to immerse ourselves in Italian life and culture.
A short walk from the port and city center, we have all the advantages of a retreat not far from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento. With the yoga schedule and the art-making options, there is time to explore the churches, art and museums of Napoli, Vesuvius or the Gardens of Villa Cimbrone in Ravello, the shops and beaches in Positano; or to explore the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento, Pompeii, Naples, Capri independently or through workshops.
Rooms are in the spirit of the renovated convent: simple and comfortable; whether singles or doubles, all have private bathrooms, wifi and air conditioning.
What is included and daily itinerary:
We practice yoga and meditation 1-2x daily with morning yoga and some early evening classes
Morning art discussion/critique or classes as requested; artists working on site should plan to work with drawing and water-based media, collage, digital photography in sync with our surroundings
