Judith Brassard Brown
In addition to teaching drawing and painting at Montserrat College of Art, I have taught classes in mixed media, color theory, printmaking and digital strategies of art-making. As founder and long term faculty of Montserrat's Summer program in Viterbo, Italy I am am advocate of studying abroad, immersing ourselves in another culture to expand our ability to see, to practice our art and develop ourselves. Whether you plan to sketch, draw, photograph, ? or simply look, I can help as we work together. As an exhibiting artist, yoga is very much a part of my artistic process.
Kirsten “Kitty” Amann, eat. drink. move.
I originally turned to yoga for exercise in my mid-twenties; what began as a quest for a workout more interesting than the elliptical machine developed into a deeply meaningful practice that changes my life every day. I received my 200-hour certification in Back Bay Yoga School of Yoga’s inaugural class and presently teach Vinyasa yoga classes, from Gentle Beginners to flowing, playful Hot Yoga.
I am also an ACE-certified personal trainer, certified Yoga Therapist, and see clients for one-on-one training and yoga sessions.
Whether walking students through their first Sun Salutation or helping them find emotional well-being through movement and pranayama, I encourage students to honor their work without expectation or judgment and hopefully move through their day with a little more peace and ease.
In addition to teaching yoga, I work as a consultant in the beverage alcohol industry, working with brands on sales and marketing. My most recent book, Drinking Like Ladies, is a combination cocktail and women’s history book that was published in June 2018 and has received accolades from Food & Wine.
